There's a second sky in the water.

When the water settles, the birdbath turns into a small mirror: the visitor on the rim, and a softer copy of it below, floating in a patch of sky. This framed bird poster holds that quiet doubled view, for the person who keeps the birdbath topped up and stops to look when it goes calm.

The design: Still Water, Two Skies

A small gray songbird with a dark cap perches on the rim of a pale gray stone birdbath. Below it, the still teal water carries a faint, partial reflection of the bird, as if the bath were holding a second sky.

Above, a wide ivory field is left open on purpose, so the eye drops straight to the bird and its reflection. There is no lettering. The white mat around the picture gives it room to breathe, like a print in a gallery.

Matted, framed and ready to hang

Printed on thick matte paper with a soft, low-glare finish that keeps the water's teal calm and the ivory sky clean

Surrounded by a crisp white mat that sets the picture back from the frame

Held in a solid black wooden frame, about three-quarters of an inch deep, made from wood from renewable forests

A clear acrylic front protects the print, and the hanging hardware is included

Portrait format in two sizes: 12×16 in for a hallway, desk wall or bathroom, 18×24 in for a living room or above a console

Who it's for

Backyard bird watchers with a birdbath of their own, garden lovers, fans of quiet minimalist art and anyone who enjoys the small moments when the yard goes still. A gift for a housewarming, a birthday, Mother's Day or Father's Day, a retirement, or a friend who just put in a new birdbath.

Quick answers

Is the bird looking at itself?

Not quite. It's simply perched on the rim, and the calm water happens to reflect it. The picture is about what you notice as the watcher: one bird, seen twice.

What does the mat add?

The white mat leaves a clean border between the picture and the black frame, which gives the open ivory sky and the small bird more breathing room and a finished, gallery look.

Will it suit a bathroom or a small hallway?

Yes. The water theme and calm palette suit a bathroom, and the 12×16 fits a narrow hallway or the wall beside a mirror. For a bathroom, hang it away from the shower so it stays dry.

Does the whole birdbath show inside the mat?

Yes. The bird and the full bowl sit inside the mat opening at both sizes, and the pedestal runs down out of view, just as it does in the original picture.

Shipping and returns

Free US shipping.
