It adds warm, sunny color to a bedroom, a reading chair or a plain sofa that could use some cheer.

The design: Groovy Moon Garden, a boho throw pillow in full bloom

The lettering takes center stage in two lines. The top word is drawn in speckled mustard-orange letters with a curly swash on its first letter and a deep maroon shadow behind each one. The second word sits below in speckled coral-pink letters, topped by a long coral ribbon flecked with tiny sparkles.

Around the words, rainbow bands in mauve, orange, sage and coral sweep across the top-left and bottom-right corners, with orange half-circle patterns tucked inside the lower rainbow. Folk-style flowers fill the open spaces: a cream daisy with green leaves above the lettering, a pink daisy on a long stem at the left, an orange star-petal flower lower down and a mauve bloom at the bottom right. A pink crescent moon with two small stars rests among leaves at the upper right, a green ringed disc sits at the right edge, and four-point sparkles and dots twinkle across the white ground.

The palette of mustard, coral, pink, mauve and sage keeps the mood light and cheerful, closer to a sunny afternoon in 1975 than anything dark or moody.

Soft, washable and printed front to back

The art is printed on the front and the back, so the flowers and lettering still face the room after the pillow gets flipped

A soft 100% polyester cover, 220–250 g/m² (6.49–7.37 oz/yd²), over a polyester insert

A hidden zipper keeps the edge clean, so the lettering and flowers get all the attention

When the cover needs a refresh, unzip it, take the insert out and put the cover in the washing machine

The insert ships inside the cover and keeps its full, rounded shape; wash the insert by hand only

Who it's for

Fans of 70s style, boho and retro decorators, flower lovers and anyone who likes a room with a bit of sunshine in it.
