Take it along on the commute, or hand it to anyone who treats every refill as a small expedition.

The design: a pocket solar system of coffee

At the center sits a teal-green coffee cup, drawn flat and filled to the brim with dark brown coffee, with two wavy curls of steam rising from it. Three thin brown rings circle the cup, each set slightly off-center from the next, the way planet paths are sketched in a school atlas.

Seven coffee beans ride those rings like moons, every one marked with a pale crease down its middle. Four plain discs play the planets: a large terracotta-red one, a mustard-orange one, and two small dots in mustard and teal. The shapes are flat and outline-free, in a retro style with a mid-century feel.

It is a picture of priorities. For anyone who plans the morning around the brew, the diagram says it plainly: the cup stays put, and everything else can circle.

Made to travel: steel body, handle and lids

A steel body plus a handle that leaves your other hand free for keys and doors

Slides into most car cup holders, so it rides upright up front instead of rolling around on the seat

Each side of the mug carries its own copy of the art, with plain white at the front between the two

The lid depends on the option: the shorter mug takes a spill-proof plastic press-in lid, and the taller one a screw-on lid with a plastic straw for sipping on the move

Who it's for

Commuters, road-trippers, home baristas and the astronomy fan who also knows the roast date of every bag in the pantry. It suits the drive to work, a long desk shift or a weekend on the highway. Give it for a coffee friend's birthday, a new job or a holiday gift swap.

Quick answers

Is it a space scene with stars?

No. Coffee Galaxy is the name of the design. The drawing is an orbit diagram with no stars, rockets, words or logos, so it reads as a coffee joke before it reads as a space print.

Anything to know before pouring a hot drink?

Yes: open the lid first. A closed lid sitting on a hot drink lets steam pressure build up inside.

How do I clean it?

By hand, at the sink. A dishwasher cycle is not for this mug.

Does the art change from one option to the other?

No. Both options carry the same cup, rings and beans. Only the height and the lid differ, and the measurements are in the size guide.

Shipping and returns

Free US shipping.
