That is the whole plan.

This truck t-shirt is a camping design at heart: a retro pickup truck parked beside a tent, set inside a round badge named Gone Camping. It is a men's heavyweight cotton tee for the camper who has the gear loaded before anyone else has checked the forecast, and an easy gift for the one who is always first to leave town.

What the Gone Camping badge shows

Everything sits inside one round badge on the chest, sliced into horizontal bands the way vintage sunset graphics are. The top band is a rust-orange night sky holding a crescent moon and a scatter of four-point stars in different sizes. Two bands of muted grey-green run under it, and a stand of five dark pines rises through them at the left.

Left of center stands an A-frame tent with its triangular door open. Next to it is an old-style pickup truck drawn from the side and pointing right, with a rounded cab, rounded fenders, a grille of horizontal bars and a round headlight. Beneath both, light streaks ripple across near-black ground and read as water catching the moonlight, so the camp looks pitched on a shore.

Black condensed capitals arch over the top and spell GONE CAMPING. A second line of smaller lettering curves along the bottom edge and adds a plain request to be left alone for a while. The badge is printed on the front only, and the back of the tee is plain. No campfire, no figure and no mountain appears in the picture: it is the camp, the truck and the night.

Heavy cotton for the drive out and the days after

Heavyweight jersey at 6.5 oz/yd² (220 g/m²), for a tee with some substance to it

The cotton is combed before spinning, so the yarn comes out smooth and the shirt feels soft; one heather-style color is a 60% cotton / 40% polyester blend

Cut as a men's tee in a regular fit, with a seam down each side that helps it hang in a straight line

A ribbed knit collar frames the neckline

A gentle tip: turn it inside out for a cold machine wash, then dry it on low heat or on a line

Who it's for

Tent campers, weekend road-trippers, people who keep an old pickup running, and dads who announce the trip a month ahead. Wear it for the drive out, around camp, or on an ordinary Saturday run to the hardware store. As a gift it suits Father's Day, a birthday, or the evening before a long weekend away.

Quick answers

How should I choose a size?

It is a men's tee with a regular fit, so there is no need to size up or down. Measure a tee you already like across the chest and from shoulder to hem, then match those numbers to the size guide next to the size options.

Is the pickup a particular make or model?

No. It is a generic old-style pickup with no badge, script or emblem on it. The design is about camping, with the truck as the ride that got you there.

Are the tent and the truck printed in a fixed color?

In the photos the light parts of the badge, the moon, tent and truck body among them, match the shirt they sit on. The rust, grey-green and near-black bands look the same on every shirt.

Why do two photos show a lake and a night forest?

Those are photo settings behind the model.
