Full hearts, a stocked potion belt and a bag that carries both wherever the day goes.

This gaming backpack wraps its printed panels in a dense pattern of pixel hearts and green-filled potion flasks, so it reads as a player's bag before anyone sees what's inside. Water-resistant fabric, a laptop sleeve and padded straps make it an everyday pack, not just a fun one.

The art: hearts and potions on a midnight field

Big coral-red pixel hearts, each with a small light highlight, march across the bag in slanted rows. Between them sit round teal glass flasks filled with bright green liquid and closed with grey stoppers. Smaller pink and gold hearts fill the gaps, gold-orange starbursts flash every few rows, and tiny green plus-shaped sparkles and pixel dots finish the scatter.

It all sits on black with patches of dark purple, so the reds, teals and golds jump forward the way icons glow on a dark game screen. Nothing is written on it and no character appears, only the two items every adventurer counts before a hard fight: hearts to spare and something to drink when they run low.

The pattern covers the front panel and wraps the sides, while the straps and the mesh panel that rests against your back stay solid black.

• The top zipper has two sliders, so you can open the gaming backpack from either side
• Padded straps for comfort on the walk, a soft mesh back panel and a smooth, silky lining inside
• Measures 16⅛″ tall, 12¼″ wide and 3⅞″ deep (41 × 31 × 10 cm)

Who it's for

Pixel-art fans, retro gamers, streamers heading to a meetup and students who want their bag to say something about them will feel at home with this one. It suits a campus commute, a LAN party, a convention day or a flight with the laptop along. Give it for a birthday, as a holiday present or to the friend who always shows up to game night with snacks.

Quick answers

How much can it carry?

The bag is rated for up to 44 lb (20 kg), so a laptop, a charger and a few books sit well within its limit.

Do the hearts and flasks point to a particular game?

No. They are generic pixel icons with no logo or character attached, so they nod to every adventure you have played rather than one series, and they look just as at home on a city sidewalk as at a gaming event.

How do I keep it looking fresh?

Spot clean marks gently with a damp cloth instead of putting the bag in the washing machine or dryer, and let it air-dry.
