Description

Close your eyes in the yard and you can still tell who is there.

This bird poster is for the birder who listens as much as looks. Three familiar backyard singers share one slender branch, each in its own calling pose, with soft sound arcs drifting off them like the morning chorus.

The design: The Yard Has a Soundtrack

A crested blue jay perches at the top of a slender brown branch with its beak open. Just below, a bright red northern cardinal calls out, and lower down a black-capped chickadee answers from a side twig.

Light gray arcs curve away from the birds to suggest their calls, and the scene sits on a soft ivory field with plenty of quiet space and no lettering.
