Three woodland faces are waiting to see what you write next.
This animal notebook puts a hand-sketched bear, owl and fox on its covers and plain dotted paper behind them. It is a friendly home for lists, daily notes and small doodles, and an easy gift for anyone who stops to look at wildlife.
The design: three animals among the birches
Near the top of the cover, three animals look over the curved edge of a plain white rise, each with a paw or a set of claws hooked over it. On the left is a brown bear with round ears, a pale tan muzzle and a black nose. In the middle sits a gray-brown owl with short ear tufts, fine feather marks, a small yellow beak and very large round eyes. On the right, an orange fox with a dark-tipped ear keeps its eyes lowered.
Behind them stand three pale, birch-like trunks flecked with dark marks against soft gray pencil hatching, and leafy branches in gray and muted olive reach in from the upper corners. Lower down, two lines of large hand-brushed lettering in dark olive green read "Wild Notes" on open white space. A strip of sketched grass blades and small leafy plants runs along the bottom, with a light tan wash in each corner.
The whole picture is a pencil-and-ink sketch with light watercolor-style color on the animals, so it has the gentle feel of a storybook page.

Who it's for
Animal lovers, birdwatchers, nature-walk note takers, students, and anyone who likes stationery with a gentle sense of humor. It also works as a present for a child who loves animals. Good moments to give it: a birthday, a new school year, a thank-you for a pet sitter, or a small extra wrapped up with a nature book.
Quick answers
What could I write in it on a nature walk?
Some ideas: a running list of the birds and animals you spot, the date and place for each, and a quick outline of a leaf or a track. Counting dots helps keep a small drawing in proportion.
Does it have to be a journal?
No. The pages carry dots and nothing else, so one book can hold a diary for a month, then shopping lists, then a plan for the garden.
Is it a good pick for a young animal fan?
It can be. The cover is gentle and friendly, and the pages are open for stories or doodles. It is a regular notebook, chosen the same way as any other.
How do I keep the covers looking fresh?
Give it a pocket of its own in your bag, away from keys and uncapped pens, and brush off crumbs or dust by hand.
