The design is drawn flat from a hillside terrace, looking down across a deep sapphire lake. A single white lancha trails a wake mid-water, and a volcano rises purple-blue on the far shore beside layered ridges and clouds. Bougainvillea fills the foreground in magenta and pink, a whitewashed terrace wall cuts across the foot of the scene, and a woven Guatemalan textile band runs along the bottom edge. The lettering sits in the sky — LAKE, ATITLÁN and GUATEMALA — worked in sapphire blue, sky blue, cream, magenta and orange.
