Brave rarely feels brave. Most days it's the step you take while your heart is still racing.

Of all the motivational shirts for women you could choose, this one says it softly: Courage Defines Heroes, an original RaZits slogan design framed in cherry blossoms. It's a light, relaxed women's tee and a thoughtful gift for someone stepping into a brave new chapter.

The design: a storybook title page in cherry blossom

COURAGE runs across the top and HEROES across the bottom in ornate, fairy-tale serif capitals with curling swash tails, while DEFINES sits small between them on a pair of thin flourishes. The main letters are white with a soft pink sheen. The oversized initial C and H fade through rose pink, and a tiny crescent moon rests inside the curve of the C. Four-point sparkles glint around the words.

A slender cherry blossom branch in dusty mauve curves around the lettering like an oval frame. Five-petal sakura flowers open at the upper right, along the right side and at the lower left, small buds dot the stem, and loose petals drift through the gaps between the words.

The message is a quiet one. Heroes are not the people who never feel afraid; they are the ones who show up anyway. Cherry blossoms open for only a short season and bloom fully regardless, which makes them a fitting partner for a slogan about being brave in ordinary life.

Light, easy comfort for everyday bravery

• Airy 4.2 oz/yd² (142 g/m²) jersey that layers easily under a jacket or cardigan
• Solid colors are 100% cotton spun into a smooth, fine yarn; heather colors are a cotton-poly blend
• Relaxed women's cut with room to move
• Round crew neckline for a clean, simple look
• Sewn along both sides so the body follows your shape instead of hanging straight
• The fabric is shrunk in advance, so the fit you order is the fit you keep after washing

Who it's for

For the friend moving to a new city, the sister walking into a big exam, the graduate starting her first job, or anyone who needs a gentle nudge through a hard week. Wear it to class, to brunch, to the gym or on the morning you have to do the scary thing. It makes a thoughtful birthday gift, a graduation or new-job present, a holiday surprise, or an anniversary note that says you see how brave she is.

Quick answers

How does the fit run?

It's a relaxed women's cut, so it sits loosely rather than clinging. For a closer match, measure a tee you already love and compare it with the size guide next to the size options.

Which shirt colors show the lettering best?

The pink-and-white letters are sharpest on the darker shirts. On the lightest shirt they turn pale, almost like a watermark, so choose a darker shade if you want the slogan to read from across a room.

Is anything printed on the back?

No. The design is centered on the chest, and the back stays plain.

How should I wash it?

Turn it inside out, machine wash cold, then tumble dry low or hang it to dry. Skip bleach and high heat to keep the blossoms crisp.
