Summit first. Signal search second.
Our funny hiking t shirt shows a lone hiker climbing a ridge in front of retro sunset stripes, framed by a famous call to the wild and a very modern answer to it. It's a men's tee for anyone who loves the outdoors but still checks his phone at the top.
The design: a sunset, a summit push and a punchline
Five tall stripes stand side by side at the center in a sunset run of yellow, golden orange, peach, coral red and purple, each one stepping to a slightly different height. Across their lower half a black silhouette scene takes over: a hiker with a full backpack and trekking poles pushes up a rocky ridge, jagged peaks rise behind him and pine trees crowd the right-hand edge.
Cream-white squared capitals with small stencil-style cuts frame the scene. The two lines on top borrow the mountain lover's old promise that the wild is calling and you have to go. The two lines at the bottom finish the thought differently: AND I MUST GO... FIND WI-FI.
It's the honest version of most trips. You came for the views, the quiet and the fresh air, and somewhere near the summit you still hold your phone up to the sky. The print is on the front, set mid-chest at a medium-large size.
A classic cotton tee with a clean finish
- Knit as a tube with no side seams, so there's nothing to rub along your ribs.
- Cotton through and through (100%), at 5.0–5.3 oz/yd² (170–180 g/m²), so the tee sits with sharp, structured lines.
- A band of fabric covers the inside seams at the neck and shoulders and keeps that area neat.
- Doubled stitching along the sleeve ends and the hem gives the edges a finished look.
Who it's for
Day hikers, weekend campers, national-forest road trippers and the friend who announces the signal strength at every lookout. It fits a dad who plans the route and still forgets the charger, a brother who swears he is going off-grid, or a coworker who works remotely from a cabin. It's one of those easy hiking gifts for men: birthdays, Father's Day, a retirement party or a surprise for the next big trip.
Quick answers
Where does the joke come from?
It plays on a well-known line from a 19th-century naturalist about the mountains calling and having to go. Here the answer is more relatable: go, yes, but find Wi-Fi first.
Are the colored stripes meant to be signal bars?
They're drawn as a retro sunset, five tall stripes stepping up in height behind the silhouettes. No phone or Wi-Fi symbol appears in the art, so the joke lives in the words.
What size should I pick?
It's a men's tee. Check the size guide next to the size options, where the sleeve is measured from the center back of the collar. If you're between sizes and like a little more room, go one up.
How should I wash it?
Wash it cold with the shirt turned inside out, then dry it on low or hang it up. Bleach and high heat are best avoided, and any ironing goes on the reverse side so the print stays protected.
