Bean boss energy, activated.

This coffee bean shirt for men stars Bean Hustlin’, an original RaZits cartoon of a coffee bean with a seriously cool attitude, made for the guy who runs on dark roast and good humor. It's a light, soft tee for everyday wear and an easy present for the coffee lover in your life.

The design: a coffee bean in shades, ready for the day

Bean Hustlin’ is drawn like a classic rubber-hose cartoon mascot from the early days of animation. The star is a plump brown coffee bean, complete with the curved crease down its middle and darker shading along one side. He wears black sunglasses and a wide, easy grin, and his thin, bendy arms end in round cartoon gloves: one hand flashes a thumbs-up while the other rests on his hip. Skinny legs finish in chunky sneakers, with a small shadow under his feet to keep him planted.

Above him, BEAN and HUSTLIN’ stack in bouncy, hand-drawn capitals with a warm tan fill and a heavy dark outline, lettering that looks lifted from an old cartoon title card. The gloves and sneakers are drawn in outline only, so the fabric shows through them and they always take on the color of your shirt, a small detail that makes the little guy look at home on every shade.

The appeal is all attitude. This bean isn't rushing or stressed; he's cool, a little smug and completely ready, which is exactly how a strong coffee makes you feel once it kicks in. Shades on, thumb up, day handled. Think of him as the mascot for your own morning routine.

A coffee bean shirt that's light and easy to wear

• Soft 100% cotton made from combed yarn for a smoother feel; the heather shade is a cotton-poly blend
• Light 4.2 oz/yd² (142 g/m²) fabric with just the right amount of stretch, so it moves with you
• Fabric shrunk before sewing, so the tee shrinks less when you wash it
• A strip of fabric sewn along the inside of the shoulders keeps those seams flat and strong
• Tear-away label: pull it off and there's no tag to scratch the back of your neck
• Care: machine wash cold inside out, then tumble dry low or hang dry; skip bleach and high heat

Who it's for

Coffee people with a sense of humor: the early riser who has the pot going before anyone else wakes up, the barista who pulls shots all morning, the café regular with a usual order, and the friend who treats a coffee run as a personality trait. If you like a vintage coffee shirt look with a real cartoon character instead of plain lettering, this men's coffee shirt fits right in at a weekend brunch, a farmers market or a casual Friday. It's an easy pick among coffee lover gifts for him, for a birthday, Father's Day, a holiday gift swap or National Coffee Day.

Quick answers

Which size should I order?

It's a men's tee. Lay a tee that fits you well flat, measure across under the arms and from shoulder to hem, then compare with the size guide next to the size options. The smallest and largest sizes aren't offered in every color, so choose your color first.

Is the fabric see-through?

It's a light knit, so it can look slightly sheer, mostly on the palest shades or in bright light. Pick a deeper shade or wear a plain undershirt if you prefer full coverage.

Does the print look the same on every shade?

Almost. The black outlines and sunglasses print crisp on most shades, but on the darkest shirt they come out a muted gray-olive, so the bean looks a little softer and more vintage there.

Is there a print on the back?

No, the back is plain. The bean and the lettering are one print, centered on the chest from the upper chest to about mid-torso.

Is the bean from a cartoon or a coffee brand?

No. Bean Hustlin’ is original RaZits art, a made-up mascot with no tie to any café chain, cartoon studio or brand, so he's simply a fun coffee character for people who love the drink.
