Follow the frets. The show is at the end of the trail.
This heavy metal hoodie for men is printed with Metal Is My Path, a mountain scene in which the hiking trail turns into a guitar neck and climbs toward a small stage. It's a pullover for fans who plan their year around tour dates, and a gift that tells a metalhead you know exactly where they'd rather be.
The design: a guitar-neck trail to a mountain stage
Two lines of distressed block capitals top the print. METAL comes first, large and slightly arched in a tan tone, and IS MY PATH runs beneath it as one smaller line in rust-orange. Under the words is an outdoor scene drawn like an old camp badge, with a grainy, worn texture.
A rust-orange sun hangs at the upper left among thin cloud lines. Three peaks rise in rust and brown with pale highlights, a wooded ridge runs below them and tall pines stand on both sides, with a small lake on the left mirroring the trees. At the foot of the mountains waits a small open-air stage. From it a trail winds down toward you and becomes a guitar neck, with frets, six strings and round position dots.
It reads like a trail map for people whose weekends are built around shows: start at the nut, walk the strings uphill, and the gig is waiting where the path runs out. The artwork lives on the chest alone; the rest of the hoodie, sleeves and back included, is left unprinted.
A heavy metal hoodie built for the walk from the parking lot to the pit
- Doors open late, so the inside is fleece-lined to keep heat close while you wait outside
- At 8.5 oz/yd² (288.2 g/m²), the fabric is 65% cotton and 35% polyester, and a couple of shades shift to 55% and 45%
- Cotton alone covers the outside, so the lettering and the mountain scene print on an even surface
- Three pieces of fabric shape the hood so it follows your head, and flat cords pull it snug
- Cold hands or a ticket stub go in the front pouch pocket
Who it's for
Metalheads, guitarists who practice until the neighbors know the setlist, festival campers and hikers with a loud playlist. Wear it on the drive to a show, in the line outside the venue or at band practice in a cold garage; it also earns its place as a festival hoodie once the air cools between sets. Give it on Father's Day to the dad who raised you on loud records, as a send-off before a friend's first tour or as a holiday present for the bandmate who books every gig.
Quick answers
Should I size up?
Most people should. Order with the fit in mind: it runs small, consider a size up for room over a tee. Chest and length numbers for every size sit in the size guide next to the size options.
What is the concert scene behind the model?
It is the setting of that one photo. The crowd and the stage lights are not part of the artwork, which is the two lines of lettering and the mountain scene under them.
Is it dark or skull-heavy like a lot of metal merch?
No. You won't find skulls, flames or spiky logo lettering here. The word METAL sits over a calm outdoor scene, and that contrast is the idea: heavy music as the route you chose.
Can it go in the dryer?
Yes, on low heat, or hang it up instead. Wash it cold and inside out on a gentle cycle with like shades and a mild detergent, leave out bleach and dry cleaning, and keep a hot iron off the print.
