Look up, then look in.
Night sky on top, roots at the bottom and one still figure where they meet: As Above, So Within is a spiritual poster drawn around a single old saying. Stargazers, journal keepers and people who like a thoughtful wall will take to this square sheet, and a reflective friend would be glad to unwrap one.
The design: a figure between the stars and the roots
A near-black field fills the square from edge to edge. At its center is a standing figure in profile, drawn in flat tan with thin dark outlines and facing right. The head tips back, the chin lifts to the sky, the eyes are closed, and the hands meet in front at hip height. Behind the head sits a dark disc ringed with thin rays of mixed lengths.
Two constellation-style figures hang in the upper corners, each built from many-pointed stars joined by straight lines: an open, bent chain on the left and a closed, lopsided loop on the right. They are shapes made for this picture, and smaller stars and dots scatter over the dark around them.
A thin horizon line crosses the sheet at the figure's feet, with a tuft of grass at each end. Beneath it, a half-circle of branching roots fans out from the spot where the figure stands, the tips tracing a neat arc, so the figure takes the place a tree trunk would. The title phrase runs across the middle in white serif type, split in two by the figure, and its capital A opens with a curled swash. The effect is of a page from an old almanac: whatever stretches overhead finds its echo underneath.

Quick answers
What does the phrase mean?
It echoes an old saying that ties the wider world to a person's inner life. The picture acts it out: stars over the line, roots under it and a figure in between. What you take from it is yours to decide.
Which of the five squares should I choose?
The two smaller squares, 10″×10″ (25.4 × 25.4 cm) and 12″×12″ (30.5 × 30.5 cm), fit a ledge or desk. Hang 14″×14″ (35.6 × 35.6 cm) or 16″×16″ (40.6 × 40.6 cm) beside a chair or mat; 18″×18″ (45.7 × 45.7 cm) works as a lone piece.
Will it work in a gallery wall?
Yes. A dark square is an easy anchor among lighter prints. Hang it at the center of the group, or pair it with one other square of matching dimensions for a tidy two-up.
What sits well near it?
Candles, dried flowers, a stack of journals or a small brass dish. On the wall, leave some empty space around the square so the dark field has room.
