Description

Three slanted words, a row of peaks and a few steps to start on.

This framed motivational wall art, called Mountain Staircase, sets a climb-higher motto in one worn dark ink on white and arrives already in its frame. It is a square piece for the wall you face while you work, study or train.

Mountain Staircase, read from the peaks down

At the top, four zigzag peaks are drawn as thin double lines, a simple chevron skyline with nothing filled in.

Under them sits a chunky dark slab shaped to follow three stacked lines of lettering, with a heavy shadow falling to the lower right so the block looks solid. The words are slanted capitals that climb from lower left to upper right, and they are left unprinted, so the white of the paper forms each letter. They read “Ascend Your Olympus”: the first and last words open with an oversized letter, and the small middle word is wedged between them.

Short spiky rays push out from behind the slab on the right and along its lower edge. At the lower right, a short flight of flat slab steps rises toward the lettering. Everything is printed in a single near-black ink with a scratched, worn texture, like an old painted sign.

In the old Greek stories, that last word names the mountain where the gods lived, the highest address there was.

Arrives framed, with hardware to hang it

  • Three square print sizes: 12″×12″ (30.5 × 30.5 cm), 14″×14″ (35.6 × 35.6 cm) and 16″×16″ (40.6 × 40.6 cm)
  • The frame goes around the print, so the outside of the frame is a little larger
  • Matte black frame of ayous wood from renewable forests
  • The print is on thick matte paper, 189 g/m² and 10.3 mil (0.26 mm)
  • The paper sits behind a clear acrylic front protector
  • Hanging hardware comes with it, and the whole piece is lightweight

Who it's for

People in the long middle of a project: the coder shipping a first app, the nurse studying for boards, the lifter adding five pounds at a time. It suits a home office, a study corner, a garage gym or a hallway, and its two-tone look sits easily beside more colorful pieces. Give it at a send-off for college, a business launch, a work anniversary or a move from one career into the next.

Quick answers

Which size goes where?

12″×12″ (30.5 × 30.5 cm) fits beside a monitor or on a shelf. 14″×14″ (35.6 × 35.6 cm) suits the strip of wall over a desk. 16″×16″ (40.6 × 40.6 cm) reads from across a room. Leave a little extra space for the frame.

Why does the ink look scratched?

The scuffs and rough patches are drawn into the artwork to give the lettering a vintage feel. Your print is new; the wear is the style.

What is the message?

Name your own high point and head for it. The little staircase under the words adds the how: start low, keep going, one tread after another.

What is the white area around the design?

It is the paper itself. The design is centered on the sheet with open space on every side, and the frame meets the paper directly.

A plain-spoken nudge for the days the goal looks far off, framed in wood and ready to hang.

Why it earns the nail

  • Type that leans uphill — tilted block letters under a jagged skyline, with a handful of treads waiting at the corner.
  • Nothing left to buy — it shows up assembled behind a see-through cover, so it can go on the wall the day it lands.
  • For someone mid-climb — a quiet vote of confidence for a friend retraining, rebuilding or starting over.
