The lanyard goes over your head, the side door opens, and the night gets bigger.
Plenty of concert sticker designs show the stage; Backstage Pass Access Dreams shows what hangs around your neck on the way to it, a pass on a lanyard with a sunburst in its window. Gig regulars, festival campers and the crew who load in before doors will each see a night of their own in it, and it can send a friend off to a first festival.
The design: a pass, a lanyard and a small sun
One rectangular pass with rounded corners hangs a little crooked, tipped to the left, in periwinkle blue. A blue lanyard strap loops up and behind it through a small ring and a coral-red clip slot, and a round rivet sits in each top corner. Where a photo would normally go there is a dark round window, and in it a spiky yellow sunburst with a cream center.
Along the bottom edge of the pass run a coral-red dot, a short coral bar and a yellow dot, like buttons or printed fields. The face of the pass is left unlettered, so whose night it stands for is yours to fill in. A large coral-red disc sits behind pass and strap, and sparkles with four points, in yellow, light blue, cream and coral, are scattered around it among a few small blue dots.
Around everything runs a band of fat, rounded cream capitals: BACKSTAGE PASS arched over the top, ACCESS DREAMS curved below, with a cream four-point star on each side where the two arcs meet. The ground is a very dark navy square, and the drawing is flat retro cartoon work with dark outlines, bright against the dark the way a marquee is after sundown.
What arrives: a square vinyl sticker
- Square with rounded corners; a white kiss-cut border frames the artwork all the way around
- See-proof, high-opacity film: use it to retire an old sticker or hide a painted mark
- Bubble-free application that is quick and easy
- Durable vinyl for everyday use
- Prep is short: a clean surface, then the sticker
Who it's for
Concert-goers with a drawer of ticket stubs, festival friends, stagehands, sound techs, tour volunteers and anyone in a band that is still playing for door money. It appears on a laptop in the photos; a ticket-stub album, a gear log or a merch-table cash box are other ideas. Good moments for it: the eve of a first arena show, the day a tour wraps, or a band's first paid gig.
Quick answers
What prints at each of the four sizes?
The three square sizes print the full sticker, so the pass and its ring of lettering span about 3, 4 or 5½ inches. On 15″×3.75″ the sticker is a single small square that measures about 3¾ inches across (9.5 cm), and the rest of the width stays unprinted.
What does Access Dreams mean here?
It reads as an instruction and a wish at once. The pass is the thing that gets you past the rope, and the dream is whatever waits on the other side: a band, a crew job or a stage of your own.
Why a sun where the photo would be?
A sunburst looks like a spotlight seen head-on, the bright circle you squint into from the wings. It also keeps the pass anonymous, so it can belong to whoever picks it up.
