Description

CONTINUE? Your hand reaches for the joystick.

This arcade print, Joystick Countdown, catches the last seconds of a continue screen: a glowing CONTINUE? prompt, hot-pink numbers ticking down and a hand closing in on the stick. Bold and bright on thick matte paper, it gives a game room wall a jolt of arcade energy, made for anyone who never left a cabinet without one more try.

The design: one last chance on the arcade screen

Big amber-yellow pixel letters spell CONTINUE? across a dark, rounded arcade screen with a thin orange border, glowing as if burned into the glass. Below them, larger hot-pink pixel numbers read 9..8..7.., ticking toward the moment the game decides for you.

Under the screen sits a blue-and-amber control deck: a red ball-top joystick in the middle, two red buttons on the left, a blue and a yellow button on the right, and yellow speed streaks flashing across the panel. A hand reaches in from the bottom right, fingers already curling around the stick, about to push.

Navy and red stripes run along the top edge like the trim of a cabinet marquee, and the whole piece is drawn in a bold comic style with thick outlines and flat colors. It is the split second every arcade player knows: out of lives, pride on the line, deciding whether there is one more round left in you.

Bold arcade colors on matte paper with no glare

  • 16 sizes, A1 and A2 included: eleven portrait sizes from 5″×7″ (12.7 × 17.8 cm) to 24″×36″ (61.0 × 91.4 cm) and five squares from 10″×10″ (25.4 × 25.4 cm) to 18″×18″ (45.7 × 45.7 cm)
  • Enhanced Matte Paper, 189 g/m² and 10.3 mil thick, with a flat finish, so the glowing letters and numbers stay readable without shine
  • 94% opacity, so the dark screen stays solid behind the bright pink and amber
  • 104% ISO brightness, a clean white base that keeps the hot pink, amber and red punchy
  • Paper sourced from Japan
  • Frame not included; crafted on demand once you order

Who it's for

Arcade regulars, retro gamers and anyone who has fed a machine one more coin to keep a run alive. It suits a game room, a basement bar, a streaming setup, a dorm or a home office, and makes a fun gift for a birthday, Christmas, a housewarming or a gamer moving into a new place.

Quick answers

What do the words on the print say?

Only two things: the CONTINUE? prompt and the 9..8..7.. countdown. There is no title, logo or brand anywhere on the art.

Do the square sizes cut anything off?

The squares focus on the screen, joystick and hand, and both lines stay fully readable. Portrait sizes add the striped top edge and more of the control deck. On the tall sizes, the last pink dots reach the right edge, as drawn.

Is it from a specific arcade game?

No. It is original RaZits art. The prompt, joystick and buttons are generic arcade parts with no game, maker or logo, so it sits happily next to any retro setup.

Which size works best?

For a game room wall, 18″×24″ (45.7 × 61.0 cm) or 20″×30″ (50.8 × 76.2 cm) makes the numbers pop from across the room. Over a desk or shelf, the 12″×12″ (30.5 × 30.5 cm) square or 11″×14″ (27.9 × 35.6 cm) fits neatly.
