Game night, zero gravity.

This astronaut poster, Controller in Orbit, shows a white-suited space traveler drifting on his back with a game controller in both hands, its cord looping around him like a ring. Thick, glare-free paper keeps the neon swirls bright, and it suits any gamer who also looks up at the stars.

The design: an astronaut gaming in deep space

He lies back in empty space, knees bent, as if settled into a favorite chair. The spacesuit is white with light-blue knee pads, cuffs, boots and chest panel, a dark reflective visor hides his face, and a life-support pack rides on his back. Both hands grip the gamepad, and its thin cyan cord swings out in a loose circle around his shoulders, orbiting him the way a moon circles a planet.

Behind him, a black sky is dotted with small white and cyan stars and little sparkles. Wide curving bands of hot pink, cyan, mint green and purple sweep around the scene like the arm of a galaxy. Above the astronaut, a two-word title in bold, slanted, futuristic white capitals carries a thin pink and cyan edge. The style is clean vector illustration, neon on black, and the controller is a generic shape with no logo.

It captures that moment when a game pulls you in so far that the room, the clock and gravity itself drift away. No mission, no rush: just one player, one controller and a whole galaxy for a backdrop.

Neon color that pops on thick, flat paper

• 16 sizes: eleven portrait sizes from 5″×7″ (12.7 × 17.8 cm) to 24″×36″ (61.0 × 91.4 cm), including A2 (16.5″×23.3″, 41.9 × 59.2 cm) and A1 (23.3″×33.1″, 59.2 × 84.1 cm), plus five squares from 10″×10″ (25.4 × 25.4 cm) to 18″×18″ (45.7 × 45.7 cm)
• Enhanced matte paper, 189 g/m² and 10.3 mil thick, and non-reflective, so the black background stays deep even under a desk lamp or monitor glow
• 104% ISO brightness gives the white spacesuit and the pink and cyan bands a clean, bright base
• 94% opacity, so the wall color behind it does not show through the starfield
• Made from Japanese-sourced paper, printed only when your order comes in

Who it's for

Gamers who love space, sci-fi fans, and teens or kids who want their room to feel like a launch pad. Put it up beside your gaming desk, in a bedroom, a game room or a space-themed nook. It works as a present for a birthday, the holidays, a new gaming setup or a back-to-school room refresh.

Quick answers

Does the controller match a particular console?

No. The gamepad is drawn without any logo or brand, so it suits a player on any system, from a PC to a handheld.

Is the astronaut cropped in the square sizes?

No. The squares trim the black margin and the outer ends of the neon bands at the sides, but the lettering and the whole astronaut stay in view. Portrait sizes show more of the swirls above and below.

Does it glow in the dark?

No. The neon look is printed color on matte paper, not a light or a glow coating. It reads best under normal room light or a warm desk lamp.

Does it arrive framed?

No, it ships as a bare, unframed print. Many sizes, such as 11″×14″ (27.9 × 35.6 cm), 16″×20″ (40.6 × 50.8 cm) and 24″×36″ (61.0 × 91.4 cm), fit standard ready-made frames.
