One beat, frozen at its loudest point.
Neon Soundwave is a square sound wave poster that turns a single pulse of audio into a sculpture of light: two ribbons, a row of glowing discs and one tall bar at the center. Its matte sheet stops the dark background from mirroring your room, and it is a natural present for anyone who mixes, plays or simply listens closely.
The design: a waveform built from light
From the left edge, a wide teal ribbon made of many fine parallel lines swoops down and narrows to a point. Where it ends, a row of about nine upright, flattened discs takes over, standing like the bars of an audio level display. They grow toward a tall, thin bar of light in the exact center and then shrink again, shifting from pale yellow and green through blue to pink and violet. On the far side, a pink-purple ribbon of fine lines sweeps up and out to the right edge, so the whole shape is roughly a mirror of itself.
Underneath, a dark glossy floor picks up the glow in soft yellow-green, blue and pink-purple, and thin pale lines fan out toward you in perspective. Behind it all, the background fades from blue-black to a dark purple, darkest at the top, and runs to the edge of the paper with no border.
There are no words, no logo and nothing to decode. It looks like a light sculpture, or the screen of an audio visualizer paused mid-song, and what it stands for is up to you: a favorite chorus, a first recording, the hum of a room just before the band starts.
A sound wave poster in five square sizes
- Comes in 10″×10″ (25.4 × 25.4 cm), 12″×12″ (30.5 × 30.5 cm), 14″×14″ (35.6 × 35.6 cm), 16″×16″ (40.6 × 40.6 cm) and 18″×18″ (45.7 × 45.7 cm), and the whole wave reaches from edge to edge on each
- A matte finish, which means the near-black background will not turn into a mirror for windows and screens the way glossy paper would
- 189 g/m² paper weight at 10.3 mil, with 94% opacity that keeps paint color and wall texture from showing in the dark areas
- The paper itself is a bright white sheet, rated at 104% ISO brightness, under the ink
- Its paper is sourced from Japan
- Arrives as a print only, so any square frame you like will do
Who it's for
Producers, DJs, drummers, podcasters, vinyl diggers and anyone who watches the meters as closely as they listen. Hang it in a home studio, over a record shelf, beside a streaming desk or in a practice room. It suits a studio-warming, a graduation from audio school or a thank-you to the friend who mixed your demo.
Quick answers
Do I need to plug anything in?
No. Nothing here is electric: the glow is ink on paper, with no LEDs, wiring or batteries. In a dark room it goes dark like any other print, so place it where a lamp or daylight reaches it.
Is it the waveform of a real song?
No. The wave is an abstract illustration, not a plot of any track or voice, so it carries no hidden message and no particular tune.
Which way up does it hang?
Teal ribbon on the left, reflection at the bottom. The floor lines fanning toward you make the right way up easy to spot when you frame it.
How does it scale in a room?
At 10″×10″ (25.4 × 25.4 cm) it tucks between monitors or onto a shelf. At 18″×18″ (45.7 × 45.7 cm) the fine ribbon lines are easier to pick out from a sofa or a mixing chair.
