The dithered sunset taught a whole generation what limited palettes could do.
This pixel sunset poster renders a warm gradient sky using nothing but classic dithering — the pixel-placement trick that let 8-bit and 16-bit artists fake a smooth glow with hard-edged color. It's built for anyone who notices the technique as much as the picture.
The design: a sunset built pixel by pixel
A pixel-art sunset rendered in classic dithering technique — the way 8-bit and 16-bit artists faked gradients using clever pixel placement. Warm palette, deep respect for the craft.
Dithering is a love letter to constraint, and this print is that love letter, one pixel at a time.

Quick answers
Does this poster come framed?
No — it ships unframed on thick matte paper, so you can pick your own frame or pin or clip it up as is.
What does "dithering" mean?
It's the classic pixel-art trick of placing individual pixels to fake a smooth gradient instead of blending colors — the technique this whole sunset is built from.
What kind of print is this?
It's printed on thick, Japan-sourced matte paper — the quality comes from the paper stock itself, not a specialty printing process.
Will it arrive in time for a gift?
