Every good morning starts with one small pixel cup.

This pixel coffee mug sets an 8-bit cup and a three-line reward message inside a border of brown pixel beans, on glossy black ceramic. It's made for coffee drinkers who grew up on chunky game graphics and still treat a fresh brew like real progress.

Coffee Bean Pixel Badge, up close

Up top, a little white pixel cup rests on a slim saucer stroke, and its steam rises as a checkered cloud of white squares. The cup perches right on the upper edge of the frame, as if it had just been set down there.

Underneath, the joke arrives in three rows of white blocky capitals. The first two sound like the message a game shows the moment you complete a task, and the last line, the word COFFEE, is set biggest and boldest. A stair-step ring of tiny brown dots, each one a pixel-sized coffee bean, encloses the words and doubles up where the corners turn.

The palette stays simple: white and coffee brown against the black glaze, with no other colors competing. That restraint gives it the feel of an old 8-bit screen, where a handful of pixels had to say everything, and here they say that brewing a pot deserves a little celebration.

Glossy black ceramic built for the daily refill

• Glossy black ceramic gives the white and brown pixels of this pixel coffee mug a sharp, dark backdrop
• Made from lead-free, BPA-free material, so hot coffee or tea goes straight in without a second thought
• Goes in the dishwasher after a long day and in the microwave when your coffee has gone lukewarm
• The same badge is printed on each side, so you see it from your seat and so does whoever sits across the desk
• A sturdy, sleek build that earns a regular spot in the cupboard for morning coffee or afternoon tea

Who it's for

Anyone with a soft spot for 8-bit graphics and a well-stocked coffee canister, home-office workers who log in with a full cup, students on late study nights and baristas who game on their days off. It sits well beside a keyboard, on an open kitchen shelf or next to a pour-over setup. It makes an easy present for a birthday, a graduation or a holiday swap at work.

Quick answers

Are the dots around the words meant to be coffee beans?

Yes. They are tiny pixel dots styled as roasted beans, laid out in a stair-step line so the frame looks like it came straight off a retro game screen.

Which capacity suits someone who drinks a lot of coffee?

Go for the 15 oz if one cup has to cover a whole morning. It holds four ounces more than the 11 oz and stands almost an inch taller, with the same diameter.

Does the print continue around the front of the mug?

No. The front, opposite the handle, shows only plain glaze between the edges of the two side prints, which keeps the look clean when the mug sits on a shelf.

Do I need to know a particular game to get the joke?

Not at all. The message borrows the general style of an in-game reward note, with no character, logo or title from any game, so it works as a coffee joke on its own.
