Away from keyboard, back with a refill: AFK now stands for Another Fresh KOFFEE.

AFK Another Fresh Koffee is a coffee break mug for anyone who types three letters into the chat and heads straight for the kitchen. Its neon glitch lettering adds a jolt of color wherever you work or play.

The design: a backronym in neon glitch type

AFK opens the stack in the biggest letters, with a small three-bar mark just to its right. Underneath, ANOTHER, FRESH and KOFFEE line up flush left, so the three words read like the full form of the slang above them.

The capitals are bold, geometric and white, with thin pink and teal edges that make them look slightly out of register, like a screen catching a glitch. Horizontal streaks of teal, magenta and lime race behind and between the lines, and a row of short pixel dashes runs along the top, giving the whole slogan a sense of speed.

Spelling the drink with a K keeps the letters matched to the slang: A for another, F for fresh, K for koffee. It is a small pun that rewards anyone who stops to read it twice.

Glossy black ceramic for the daily refill run

• A coffee break mug in sturdy ceramic, sleek enough for the office and tough enough for the kitchen cupboard
• The glossy finish gives the neon streaks extra pop
• Two matching prints, one per side, so one faces you while you sip and the other faces the room
• Safe in the dishwasher, and safe in the microwave when a forgotten cup needs warming after a long queue
• Lead-free and BPA-free ceramic, a plus for a cup you use every day

Who it's for

Team players who go quiet on voice chat for a refill, remote workers who step away between video calls, streamers who sip on camera and anyone who loves a clever backronym. It fits in next to a laptop, a headset stand or a pile of notebooks. Hand it over on a work anniversary, at a team holiday party, on a birthday or when a friend moves into a new home office.

Quick answers

Why is coffee spelled with a K?

The slang has a K at the end, so the art spells it KOFFEE to make Another Fresh Koffee fit the three letters. The spelling is part of the pun.

Do you have to be a gamer to get it?

No. AFK, short for away from keyboard, started in online chat and games, but anyone who works at a computer knows it. Any coffee lover who leaves the screen for a refill understands it instantly.

Which size suits a long call or a long match?

Go 15 oz: four extra ounces in a taller body of the same width means fewer trips to refill. The 11 oz handles a quick cup between tasks.
