Logged in, wandered off, and proud of it.

This funny phone case is for gamers whose status says online while they are clearly somewhere else, walking the dog, finishing dinner or simply gone for a bit. It works as a daily wink on your own phone, and among gifts for gamers it is the one that gets a laugh before the paper is off.

The design: two words every lobby understands

AFK means away from keyboard, the tag that pops up next to a teammate who stepped out mid-match. Here it becomes a badge of honor: ALWAYS sits over AFK in chunky sky-blue block capitals, each letter traced in dark navy with sketchy hatch shading, like a panel lifted from a comic book. The two lines tilt slightly upward, as if the words were caught mid-shout.

Behind the lettering, rough hot-pink brush strokes and lime-green streaks shoot out to both sides with thin blue lines, giving the whole thing a speed-blur feel, and a faint blue-gray haze of spray-paint mist glows behind it. There is no controller, character or logo, only the words and the paint. The print sits straight on the clear case, so your phone's own color fills every gap around it.

It's for players who balance life and lobbies, and for anyone who has come back to a chat full of where-did-you-go messages. Gamers get the joke at a glance; everyone else gets a quick explanation and, usually, a grin.

A clear case that keeps up with the joke

• The print rides on a solid polycarbonate back, and everything around it stays see-through
• Flexible, see-through sides give a little, so the case goes on and comes off without a fight
• A slightly raised 0.5 mm lip runs around the front edge of the screen
• Openings line up with the ports, so cables plug in with the case on
• Wireless charging compatible, so the phone can rest on a charging pad as is
• Guards the back and sides against everyday scratches, dust, oil and dirt

Who it's for

Online gamers, late-night raid regulars, streamers and the friend who is famous for wandering off mid-session. It comes along to LAN nights, sits next to the monitor during long sessions and gets pulled out every time someone asks where you went. Good times to hand it over: a gaming buddy's birthday, a holiday gift exchange, a graduation or the day your group finally forgives your last disappearing act.

Quick answers

What does AFK mean?

Away from keyboard. Online players type it when they step away from the game, and it shows up next to anyone who stops moving for too long. On this case it reads as a cheerful confession rather than an apology.

Which phones does it fit?

Pick your exact iPhone model in the Size menu; the list runs from the 7/8 and 2020 SE to the 16 Pro Max, one model per case. Orders for 15 and 16 series cases don't go to Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan or Singapore.

Will the print show up on a dark phone?

Yes. The bright lettering and streaks read clearly on dark phones as well as light ones, because the colors are strong enough to stand on their own. On a dark phone the hazy circle behind the words simply looks a little deeper.

Is it a heavy-duty case?

No. There's no drop or shock rating and it isn't waterproof. It's made for normal days in a jacket, a backpack or beside the keyboard, not for job sites or rough outdoor trips.

Anything to do before the first use?

Remove interior film before use. A clear sheet may line the inside when the case arrives; lift one corner and it comes away in seconds.
