The wave is taller than the boat, and she has not stepped back.

This framed ocean wall art shows a woman standing at the prow of a boat while one huge wave curls toward her, with three words of encouragement written across the sky. It reaches you already in its frame, a square piece for anyone in the middle of something hard or just about to begin it.

One woman, one wave, three words

At the lower left a woman stands upright on the prow, seen from behind and a little to one side. Her long dark hair blows to the left and a long cape streams out behind her. She is drawn mostly as a dark shape picked out with a few light edges.

Only the bow of the boat is in the picture, dark, with a Greek-key band carved along its side, a small nod to the old sea epics. The right half of the square belongs to a single towering wave, built from flat shapes of teal, dark blue-green and pale aqua and flecked with white spray. Above it, the sky is pale gray-white cloud.

Across the upper middle, on a rising diagonal, a flowing dark script with a stone-like grain reads “Brave your Odyssey”. The middle word is smaller and tucked between the other two, and a long tail trails from the last letter. Beside the first word sits a small gold compass, tilted, the one warm accent in a cool palette. She already knows her direction. What the picture catches is the nerve to keep to it.
