Does the moon glow in the dark?

No. The glow is painted into the art, a soft light around the crescent and the sunset, so it looks bright by day and under a lamp but gives off no light of its own.

How does it look on a dark phone?

Just as bright. The panel is printed in full color edge to edge, so the scene does not change with the phone underneath. Only the strips above and below it are see-through, and on darker models the maker's logo may be visible behind the moon.

Is it made for hard knocks?

Nobody has rated it for drops or impacts, and it won't keep water out. Think of it as a cover for pockets, bags and desks; on weekends spent climbing or kayaking, a tougher case is the better partner.
