This happy coffee mug spells out Joy Brewed Daily in chunky retro capitals, white on the outside with color waiting on the rim, the handle and the inside. It suits the first pour of the morning as much as the afternoon tea, and it is an easy gift for whoever runs the coffee maker at your place.

The design: rust-brown lettering with a drop in the O

The print is all lettering, set in three centered lines. JOY comes first and largest, BREWED sits under it, and DAILY. closes the stack with a period, like the end of a small promise. The capitals are chunky, rounded and a little uneven, the way the letters on an old diner sign tend to be. One playful detail: the I in DAILY is drawn as a small dotted letter among the capitals.

The O of JOY is a thick ring with a cream-tan drop set into its top, as if a drip of coffee or cream were about to land in the letter. A few short petal-shaped strokes in tan and rust fan out beside the J and the Y, a small spark on each side. The whole print keeps to rust brown and cream-tan, warm tones that stay calm against the white ceramic.
