Lemon yellow against cobalt blue: five big lemons hang over the lake, and each one is larger than the houses behind it.
This Limone sul Garda poster, called Cobalt Lemons, pictures a pastel town on Lake Garda the way old travel ads did, as seen from a boat out on the water. It suits a kitchen that could use more yellow, or a hallway where your Italy trips already hang in a row.
What Cobalt Lemons shows, nearest things first
Nearest of all lies the lake, a deep cobalt blue crossed by short white ripple marks. A small white motorboat with a wooden cabin roof and a red waterline rides low on the left side, and a little yellow boat sits half hidden at the right.
In front of everything hangs the lemon branch. It comes in at the top right with dark and light green leaves and carries the five lemons: one tucked behind the leaves, one only partly in the picture, and three in a cluster that reaches down past the waterline.
Across the water runs a promenade with pink flowering trees, cream cafe umbrellas and a few moored boats. Behind it the town climbs the hillside in yellow, orange, red, pink and cream, with terracotta roofs, arched loggias and shuttered windows, and a green wooded point closes it off at the left. Tall pale cliffs in peach, cream and lavender shadow stand over the houses, with a few dark cypress trees at their foot.
Farthest away, a blue mountain with a pale top sits at the left beneath a bright blue sky with a scatter of tiny white clouds. Three lines are printed: “LIMONE” in large cream capitals, “SUL GARDA” in bold navy with a short yellow rule on each side, then “LAGO DI GARDA • ITALIA” in smaller navy capitals. Every shape is flat, poster fashion, with a painterly grain over it.

Who it's for
Anyone back from a summer week on Lake Garda, anyone who cooks with a bowl of lemons within reach, and anyone filling a wall with Italian lake towns one poster at a time. Give it for a housewarming, a wedding anniversary or Mother’s Day, or keep it as your own trip memento.
Quick answers
Where would you hang it in a kitchen?
Over the counter, by the breakfast table or next to the pantry door. Outside the kitchen, it also suits a dining room or a hallway of pictures from Italy.
Is it more of a food picture or a place picture?
A bit of each. The fruit takes up the most room, while a whole town and its lake sit behind it.
What sits well next to it on a counter or shelf?
Things you already own: a bowl of real lemons, a stack of cookbooks, a bottle of olive oil. No matching set is needed.
