The first tee time of the day, pared back to a sun, two hills and nine dots.
This golf canvas wall art tells the story of an early round without drawing a single golfer: a flat orange sun lifts behind two green hills while a trail of small dots climbs toward it. It comes as one stretched canvas that hangs landscape.
The design: Morning Nine
A large orange sun, drawn as a plain disc, rises into a pale blue sky. Two hill arcs cross in front of it: a darker green one at the left and a lighter, larger one that sweeps up to the right. On the darker hill, nine small off-white dots curve from the lower left up toward the sun, one for each hole of a half round. Every shape is flat, with no outlines, gradients or shading.
Under the picture, an off-white strip carries the words “morning nine” in lowercase, set in a heavy rounded typeface and a muted green. Most people will read it as a sunrise. Golfers will count the dots.
Stretched and ready for the wall: the canvas
- One size, hung landscape: 16″ wide by 12″ tall (40.6 × 30.5 cm)
- The picture panel is about 12½″ (32 cm) wide and sits centered, so a plain white band of about 1.6″ to 1.75″ (4 to 4.5 cm) runs down the left and the right side of the canvas
- Poly-cotton blend canvas, 10.15 ± 0.74 oz/yd² (344 ± 25 g/m²), hand-stretched over solid wood stretcher bars, so it arrives as a finished piece instead of a rolled sheet
- 1.25″ (3.18 cm) thick, which lets it stand off the wall and hang without a frame
- Mounting brackets are included, one less thing to shop for before it goes up
- Fade-resistant print, a good match for large flat areas of orange, green and blue
Who it's for
Early-tee-time golfers, nine-hole regulars and anyone who likes Scandinavian-style minimal decor with a private meaning. It settles easily into a bedroom, a hallway, a home office or a row of small prints, because nothing about it shouts sport. Give it for a birthday, Mother's Day, a housewarming or to mark a first season on the course.
Quick answers
Will guests read it as golf art?
Only the ones who play. There is no golfer, club, ball or flag in the picture, and no course is named, so at first glance it is a sunrise over two hills. The two words and the dot count give the sport away.
Is a frame part of the order?
No. It is sold unframed, as a stretched canvas with nothing between you and the print: no glass and no mat.
How is the front divided between picture and lettering?
The picture is about 10″ (25 cm) tall and meets the top edge. The off-white lettering strip below it is about 2″ (5 cm) tall and meets the bottom edge.
