Snow above, a purple meadow below, and a dark line of evergreens holding the two apart.
This Mount Rainier poster layers a snow-covered peak, a band of conifers and a flowering meadow into one tall picture. It belongs on the wall you pass every day, and it travels well as a present for someone who misses the Northwest.
White Peak and Lupine, layer by layer
The top of the sheet is a plain light blue sky. Out of it rises a broad mountain covered in snow: white snowfields broken by gray-violet ribs of rock and shadow. White heaped clouds stand behind both of its shoulders, and two thin, flat clouds drift at the sides.
Under the snow, dark green conifers cross the picture in a line, with taller trees at the far left and right, and rolling mid-green hills lie around them. The foreground is a light green meadow full of tall purple flower spikes. The largest stand in the lower corners, smaller ones are scattered across the grass, and little white and yellow wildflowers fill the gaps.
The picture ends in a straight line. Beneath it, on pale cream, "MOUNT RAINIER" stands in large, heavy purple capitals, with "NATIONAL PARK" under it in small, widely spaced olive green letters. It is illustrated in flat colors with no outlines, the way a vintage-style travel poster is.

Hikers and day-trippers who know that white summit, wildflower chasers, Washington locals and Pacific Northwest transplants who miss the view. Quick answers
Which flowers are in the meadow?
The print does not name them. They are drawn as tall purple flower spikes with leafy bases, mixed with small white and yellow wildflowers. The design name, White Peak and Lupine, is our own reading of them.
Is there anything else in the scene besides the mountain, trees and flowers?
No hikers, wildlife, trail, road or building appear. The picture is sky, clouds, mountain, hills, trees and meadow, with the lettering on cream below.
Is it a good pick for a child's room?
It can be. The scene is calm: white clouds, rolling hills and flowers under a blue sky. It also suits a nursery wall for a family that hikes.
