One snowy summit, a coral sun at its shoulder, and the whole mountain again upside down in the water.
Bring the clearest-day view of the Cascades along with this mount rainier shirt, heavyweight and cut for men, with the Reflected Summit Badge across its front. Wear it to trailheads and on ordinary weekdays, or give it to anyone who has waited for the clouds to lift off the peak.
The design: Reflected Summit Badge
A cream ring frames the whole scene. MOUNT RAINIER arcs over the top in dark teal capitals, NATIONAL PARK bends around the base, and a coral dot sits at the left and right edges of the ring. Thin teal lines and a wide dark-teal outer band close the circle.
Inside, a snow-covered peak fills the upper half, its slopes shaded in teal with a thin coral edge along the left flank. A half sun with short coral rays rises at the mountain's left shoulder, and two small birds glide through the sky to the right of the summit. Below a dark line of forest on the far shore, a still lake holds the entire mountain a second time, upside down, coral edge and all, crossed by a few light ripple lines. Three dark pines stand on the lower-left shore, and EST. 1899 is set in small capitals beneath the water.
Nothing here is fussy: flat fills and simple shapes take the place of fine shading, so the reflection is easy to make out. The badge is printed big on the front of the shirt, with no back print.
Cotton with some weight, color with some character
- All-cotton knit at 6.1 oz/yd² (206.8 g/m²) makes this Mount Rainier shirt a heavier tee that still feels soft against your skin
- Garment dyeing, done once the tee is fully stitched, softens the shade into a slightly faded tone, like a long-time favorite
- The relaxed cut gives your shoulders and torso extra room and drapes rather than clings
- Extra reinforcement inside the neckline and across the shoulder seams helps them hold up to being pulled on and off after every hike
- A second line of stitching follows the 7/8″ collar, each armhole, both cuffs and the hem, so those edges stay tidy through many wears
Who it's for
Washington locals who plan weekends around whether the mountain is out, Paradise and Sunrise day-trippers, Wonderland Trail dreamers, lake-loving photographers and anyone who keeps a favorite summit as their phone wallpaper. Wear it to the trailhead, on a ferry across the Sound or to the office on a Friday. Save it for Father's Day, a birthday hike or a coworker's last day before retiring, or tuck it into a December stocking.
Quick answers
Is the mountain on the badge Mount Rainier?
Yes. The lettering names the park, and the scene shows its snowy summit with the sun rising at one shoulder. The badge doesn't name the lake below, so it reads as a peak and its reflection rather than one specific viewpoint.
Why does the badge say EST. 1899?
Mount Rainier became a national park in 1899, and the badge marks that founding date in small teal capitals tucked just under the lake.
Which size fits me best?
It's cut as a men's tee, roomy and relaxed. Grab your favorite everyday tee, take its width at the armpits plus its length down the back, and line those up against the size guide next to the size options.
How should I wash it?
Cold machine wash, inside out, alongside similar shades, then low heat in the dryer. If it ever needs pressing, work the iron around the artwork, never across it.
