Description

Some mornings call for a bigger weapon than a teaspoon.

This sword mug carries Pixel Blade Glow: an 8-bit pixel sword standing tip-up in a ripple of cyan light, on glossy black ceramic. It suits the player who still saves before every big door and wants that same readiness from the opening sip of the morning.

The design: a tip-up pixel sword and a two-word battle cry

A single sword takes up most of the printed height, its tip toward the rim. The blade is pale blue and white with a darker blue line down the center and a rounded end, and every outline steps in small squares the way sprites did on early game screens.

Under the blade sits a crossguard in yellow and orange with blue ends, then a purple striped grip and a round pommel in orange, blue and yellow. The pommel rests in a flat band of cyan pixel lines that spreads sideways like lit water, and a few orange and yellow pixels flicker low on the steel.

Two big pixel words, yellow capitals edged in orange, cross the upper blade, the second word stretching farther sideways than the first, and the steel peeks through the gaps. Plus signs and dots in blue, yellow and orange scatter around the whole thing. No character, enemy or scenery is drawn, so the sword belongs to whichever adventure you are halfway through.

Black glossy ceramic that goes from the desk to the dishwasher

  • A ceramic sword mug with a glossy finish, where the black body plays the night sky behind the pale blade
  • Printed on both sides, so the sword faces outward whichever hand takes the handle
  • Fine in the dishwasher alongside the dinner plates
  • Microwave-safe, handy when a long cutscene outlasts the heat in your cup
  • Lead-free and BPA-free material, good to know for a cup you reach for every morning

Who it's for

Old-school RPG players, pixel artists, tabletop adventurers and anyone who names their save files. It sits well next to a keyboard, on a game-room shelf or in an office kitchen where nobody will mistake it for their own. Hand it over on a moving-in day, after a finished playthrough, on Father's Day or in a secret-santa draw.

Quick answers

Can a left-handed drinker see the sword too?

Yes. The art appears twice, left of the handle and right of it. The strip opposite the handle, between the two prints, stays plain.

Is there a logo or character printed on it?

No. Only the sword, the two big pixel words and the sparkles are printed, so nothing on the cup points to one particular game or hero.

What is the sword standing in?

Stacked horizontal pixel lines beneath the pommel. Read it as glowing water, a patch of light or a save point; the art leaves that open.

How readable is the lettering?

The two words are the widest part of the print, set in thick capitals with a darker outline. The twinkles and stepped edges are finer details that show when the mug is in your hand.

A tip-up 8-bit sword on a dark, shiny cup, for mornings that feel like the opening screen of a quest.

What you get with this blade

  • Sprite-sheet looks — an icy blade, a banded hilt and bright block lettering built from stepped squares, ringed by tiny twinkles.
  • Two swords, zero fuss — the art repeats on the far side, and the cup shrugs off microwave reheats and dishwasher runs.
