Inside a thin ruled border, fine gray-black hatching forms row after row of sand dunes, pale on their faces and darker on their shaded sides, running back to a low horizon. Tufts of dune grass stand on the crests and in the foreground, their blades leaning with the wind. In the middle distance lies a shallow oval hollow tinted soft green with a lighter center.
