Sunset on your side, starlight on theirs.
This gamer room wall art splits one lived-in living room straight down the middle, for everyone who spent evenings on one side of a shared TV while a sibling or best friend held the other. It's an original RaZits illustration and a thoughtful present for whoever always sat across the room from you.
The design: one living room, split between sunset and night
A single living room is cut down its exact center line. The left half glows orange and amber: a crumbling brick wall opens onto a sunset sky with orange clouds and distant rock spires. The right half turns cool and blue: a broken stone wall gives way to a starry night over icy peaks. Behind it all hangs a big round disc, half pale sun and half cratered moon.
Right on the dividing line sits a boxy old CRT television on a low stand packed with video decks and a console. Its screen shows one landscape for both sides, blue spires and a glowing river running to the horizon. Each half keeps its own nest. The warm side has a yellow sofa, a small second TV, a speaker, a game box on a patterned rug and a dark gray controller. The cool side has a blue sofa with a blanket and pillows, two drink cans, pizza slices on a box, a game case and a light gray controller with red buttons.
No players are drawn into the scene, and it doesn't need them: the two controllers waiting on the floor say enough about who sat where. The split screen taught us how to be in our own world while sharing the room with someone else. Headphones didn't invent that. Cartridges did. This print is for the people who remember exactly which side of the room they always claimed.
The one couch in the name is the shared evening rather than the furniture, since each side gets its own sofa. Everything is drawn with inky linework and textured, screen-print color, closer to a retro comic panel than to pixel art.
Sized for a desk, a hallway or the wall above the TV
- Five squares, 10″×10″ (25.4 × 25.4 cm) through 18″×18″ (45.7 × 45.7 cm), plus eleven portrait sizes, 5″×7″ (12.7 × 17.8 cm) through 24″×36″ (61.0 × 91.4 cm), with A2 and A1 among them: 16 in all
- Enhanced Matte Paper, 189 g/m² and 10.3 mil thick, with a flat, non-shiny finish
- 94% opacity, so the wall behind stays hidden under the deep night blues
- 104% ISO brightness, so the amber half and the blue half both print on a bright white base
- Paper sourced from Japan
- Frame not included; crafted on demand, so each poster is printed after you order
Who it's for
Couch co-op veterans, brothers and sisters who split one screen for years, and retro gamers and gamer dads who never owned just one controller. Hang it over the console, in a basement den or in a bedroom two siblings once shared, or give it for a sibling's birthday, a housewarming, Father's Day or a gamer couple's new place.
Quick answers
Is it drawn from a specific game or console?
No. The consoles, controllers and game case are generic, with no logos or names, and the TV shows an invented landscape. It fits whatever you and your co-op partner played.
Does a square size show the whole room?
Yes. The five squares show the full scene inside a thin cream border, including a framed picture on each side wall and the bookshelf at far left. Portrait sizes trim the side walls, but the TV, the sun-and-moon disc, both sofas and both controllers appear on every size.
Which size works above a TV stand?
Over a TV or console, 18″×24″ (45.7 × 61.0 cm) or 20″×30″ (50.8 × 76.2 cm) balances the screen below without crowding it. Beside a monitor or on a shelf, 8″×10″ (20.3 × 25.4 cm) keeps the scene at arm's length.
What frame suits the two halves?
A slim black frame holds the orange and the blue equally, while light wood leans toward the sunset side. 11″×14″ (27.9 × 35.6 cm), 16″×20″ (40.6 × 50.8 cm) and 24″×36″ (61.0 × 91.4 cm) match common ready-made frames.
