Morning Nine puts that hour on a wall and almost nothing else: one enormous apricot sun, two calm arcs of pine-green hill, a wide stretch of powder-blue sky doing nothing on purpose - and nine small off-white dots stepping from the near corner toward the light. Set in quiet lowercase underneath: morning nine. Most people will read it as a sunrise. Golfers will count the dots.
The restraint is the whole idea, and it is unforgiving to print badly - flat colour with no gradients, no texture and no outlines has nowhere to hide. This one is printed on poly-cotton blend canvas with fade-resistant inks and hand-stretched over solid wood stretcher bars, 1.25″ deep, so the blocks of colour stay clean right to the corner and the piece sits off the wall like an object rather than a poster. Mounting brackets are included; there is no frame to buy.
