Every golfer keeps one hole in their head that they have never actually played: a tee box high on a headland, a green tucked across a small cove, and a shot you have to commit to before you have finished thinking about it. The Cove Par Three is that hole, drawn the way the great railway travel posters of the 1930s drew a coastline - enormous flat shapes, long evening shadows, not a single outline anywhere. Teal water, sand-coloured cliffs, white rollers going over the rocks, a coral sky, and two words along the bottom: PLAY THE COAST.
It is printed on a poly-cotton blend canvas and hand-stretched over solid wood stretcher bars, 1.25″ deep, so it stands proud of the wall with clean corners and needs no frame. The inks are fade-resistant, which matters on a picture this bright - that coral sky is the first thing anyone sees from the doorway, and it should still be the first thing they see years from now. Mounting brackets are included, so it goes up the afternoon it arrives.
