Two songbirds, one wreath, and a sofa that suddenly looks well read.
Garden Charm is a bird throw pillow drawn like a page from an old botanical print: gray-and-cream flowers and two small songbirds ringed around white lettering on dusty rose. It arrives filled, so it can go straight onto a reading chair, a sunroom bench or a made bed, and it is a gentle present for whoever keeps the feeders full.
The design: a songbird wreath in engraving lines
The whole cover is one flat dusty rose from edge to edge. In the middle, two lines of bold white serif capitals spell GARDEN CHARM, and a loose ring of flowers and foliage closes around them. Everything in the wreath is drawn in fine gray line work with cream-white and soft gray fills, the hatched look of a vintage botanical engraving.
Two large open flowers, each with five rounded cream petals and a ring of fine stamens, anchor the top left and the bottom right. A full, many-petaled bloom sits at the left, with closed and half-open buds tucked in around it. Gray leaves with toothed edges and visible veins fill the gaps, a fine-leafed sprig arches over the top, and a spray of long narrow leaves fans out at the top right.
Then the company arrives. One small songbird perches on a stem at the right with its wings folded, looking back toward the lettering. A second small bird at the lower left lifts one wing, a few curled plumes rising from its head, and beside it a small striped insect rests on the stem. The palette stays with rose, gray, cream and white, so the pillow reads as tone-on-tone.
What this bird throw pillow is made of
- The insert is part of the order and is made to hold its shape, so there is nothing extra to buy
- Polyester inside and out: the cover and the insert are both 100% polyester
- Cover fabric weight: 6.49–7.37 oz/yd² (220–250 g/m²)
- The zipper hides in the seam, so the closure stays out of the picture
- Unzip the cover and it can go in the washing machine; wash the insert by hand
- The same design is printed on both sides
Who it's for
Gardeners who bring the outside in, backyard birdwatchers, and anyone decorating in a cottagecore or vintage botanical mood. It settles naturally onto a window seat, a bedroom chair or a row of plainer bed pillows. Consider it for Mother's Day, a bridal shower, or a housewarming where the new place comes with a garden.
Quick answers
How does the wreath fit the wide pillow?
On the 20″×12″ the whole wreath and its lettering sit centered at a smaller scale, with plain background at the left and right ends. On the 18″×18″ and 22″×22″ squares the wreath fills most of the cover with a margin around it.
What kind of birds are they?
They are drawn as small perching songbirds in an old engraving manner, without the markings of one particular species. That keeps the pillow at home with any bird-themed or floral decor you already own.
How do I choose between the three shapes?
Pick by where it will rest. Low and wide, the 20″×12″ cradles the lower back; the 18″×18″ is the usual pick for a sofa corner; the 22″×22″ holds its own against a headboard. Chart sizes are laid flat and can differ by up to 1″ (2.5 cm).
Will it sit well next to patterned furniture?
It has one background shade and quiet line work, so it tends to stay calm beside stripes, checks or other florals. The photos show it against a tufted sofa, a knit blanket and a dark patterned wall.
