The needle is down, the eyes are closed, and side one is just getting started.
This record player sticker carries Vinyl Comfort, a RaZits cartoon of a little turntable dozing happily while its record plays, onto your laptop lid or notebook. It's a small nod to anyone who would rather flip a record than skip a track, and it slips easily into a card for the crate digger in your life.
The design: a turntable drifting off mid-album
At the center sits a record player drawn at a three-quarter angle. Its box-shaped teal base has a round orange knob on the left, a small slot on the right and, between them, a tiny face: two closed, curved eyes and a small smile, the look of someone halfway through a favorite album. On top lies a black record with fine groove lines and an orange center label, and an orange-and-cream tonearm reaches in from the upper right to rest on it.
A teal swirl curls up above the record, thin orange lines curve away on both sides as if the platter were turning, and two cream four-point sparkles and a few small dots are scattered around the scene. VINYL arches across the top and COMFORT along the bottom in chunky, rounded cream capitals with a slightly uneven, hand-lettered look. All of it is flat cartoon line art with a retro mood, in cream, teal and orange on a solid black square.
It's the feeling of a slow evening with a stack of records: no playlist, no shuffle, just one side at a time. The sleepy face says what record people already know, that the ritual is half the pleasure.
A record player sticker that hides what's under it
- Square with rounded corners, edged by a kiss-cut border in white
- Opaque vinyl you can't see through, so last year's sticker or a painted surface underneath stays hidden
- Smooths down quickly and easily, without air bubbles
- Durable vinyl that's ready for daily use
- Start with a clean surface: wipe it down first
Who it's for
Record collectors, crate diggers, lo-fi listeners and anyone who treats the turntable like a member of the household. It's pictured on the lid of a laptop; the front of a notebook or the box that holds your spare sleeves are other easy spots. It suits a housewarming for a first apartment with a first turntable, a thank-you to the friend who lent you an album, or a small extra tucked in with a gift of records.
Quick answers
What does each size option actually print?
The design is a full square, so the 3″×3″, 4″×4″ and 5.5″×5.5″ stickers are filled from edge to edge. Choose 15″×3.75″ and you get one square of about 3¾″ (9.5 cm), centered on the sheet rather than stretched along it.
Are the headphones in some photos part of the design?
No. The headphones, notebooks and plants are desk props. The sticker shows only the record player, its record and tonearm, a few sparkles and the two words.
Is there a band, label or brand name on it?
None. The record's center label carries no writing and the player has no maker's mark, so it speaks for a love of records in general, whatever fills your shelves.
Is the background see-through?
No. The dark square behind the record player is printed as part of the sticker, right up to the border, so the design looks the same whatever you put it on.
