The design is drawn flat — an eye-level view down a cream-paved lakeside promenade, with a pavement cafe of rattan bistro chairs and flower urns on pedestals at the bottom-left, a row of round clipped trees leading the eye to strolling pedestrians, ochre and cream Belle-Epoque facades with red shutters and wrought-iron balconies on the left, and beyond them the blue lake, a hillside town and snow-streaked peaks under a pale sky with a few light clouds, a palm frond entering at the top-right. LUGANO stands tall in navy above SWITZERLAND in rust red, then a small Swiss-cross shield and LAKE LUGANO, all set in the upper-right of the sky. Which size should I order? The 14″ × 14″ is the safe default for most walls. Take the 16″ × 16″ for a desk, a shelf or as part of a gallery cluster, and the 18″ × 18″ when the poster is meant to be the focal point of the room.
