East, South, West and North, gathered around one soft glow.
This print of the mahjong wind tiles is for the player who knows the winds before anything else at the table. THE FOUR WINDS paints the four wind tiles in an ink-and-gouache style on a deep teal ground.
The artwork: four wind tiles in a swirl of indigo
THE FOUR runs across the top in ivory serif capitals, and WINDS sits at the bottom in ivory capitals. In the center, the four wind tiles, 東 (East), 南 (South), 西 (West) and 北 (North), tilt around a soft glowing light. Each tile shows a red and gold back, and swirling indigo wind ribbons and small gold leaves drift around them. The artwork fills the whole 8 × 12 inch sheet.
