This fall throw pillow carries Fall Leaves, a loose scatter of watercolor leaves in red, orange and gold on a white cover. Set it out on the first cool evening and the room looks ready for the season without another thing changed.

The design: watercolor leaves, caught mid-drift

Fall Leaves is a pattern with no words in it. Maple and oak-style leaves with pointed lobes run from deep red through orange to gold at the tips, as if the paint were still wet when the tones met. Among them sit slim oval leaves in orange-red, each with a darker vein down the middle, and small sprigs of yellow-gold and amber leaflets sharing one stem.

None of the pieces touch. They point in different directions on thin brown stems, the way leaves land on a lawn after a windy night, and the plain white ground between them keeps the whole arrangement light. You won't find pumpkins, acorns or a border here, only leaves.
