Description

Black ink. White ground. A tent between pines.

This minimalist backpack keeps to one color and one small scene. The scene is a tent among pine trees, and nothing else was added.

Drawn in one pass of black

The tent is a thick black outline. Two poles cross at its peak and poke out above it. Curved lines sweep down each side. The doorway is a solid black triangle.

Pine trees stand to the left and to the right, three and three. They are solid black and a little uneven in height. Some sit partly behind the tent. A straight line under everything is the ground.

Below that line come two rows of bold capitals. They read “One Tent. Zero Worries.”

That is the whole motif. It repeats in staggered rows with wide white space around each one. It shows upright on the front panel, the zip pocket, the top panel and the bottom panel. On the two sides the rows run sideways. Only the back is left plain, in black mesh. The straps, the grab handle on top and every zipper pull match it.

What does a quiet bag still have to do?

  • Resist water, which helps your things in light weather. The cloth is 100% polyester and weighs 9 oz/yd² (305 g/m²)
  • Keep a 15″ laptop apart, in a compartment kept just for it, within the big main pocket
  • Hold small things in a zipped front pocket, and hide keys or a wallet in a second one on the back of the bag
  • Open from the left or the right: the top zipper has a slider for each hand
  • Sit easy on you. The padded, ergonomic straps adjust, soft mesh lies against your back, and the inside is lined with a silky cloth
  • Carry up to 44 lb (20 kg) in a body of 16⅛″ × 12¼″ × 3⅞″ (41 × 31 × 10 cm)

Who it's for

This one goes to campers who pack light and office workers who like a clear desk. It also suits a student who wants a pattern without color. As a gift, it fits a graduation, a new job or a first solo trip.

Quick answers

What fits inside?

It is a medium bag meant for daily use or sports activities. The laptop has its own compartment, and the zip pockets are for smaller things such as a phone, pens and cards.

Are the periods part of the print?

Yes. Each of the two lines ends with one. They slow the reading down, which suits the message.

Does it need special care?

Very little. If it picks up dust, shake it out, then pass a barely wet cloth over any spot that stays.

For the person who would sooner own one good shelter than a garage full of equipment.

Less on it, more in it

  • Says it once, softly — a small campsite icon in a single ink, set far apart so most of the fabric stays bare.
  • Kind to your shoulders — cushioned bands you can lengthen or shorten, with netted fabric along your spine.
  • For the unhurried friend — a fitting present before a first night under canvas, or after a move to a smaller place.
