The tent is in one fist. The other hand never leaves her hip.
Among camping stickers, Pitchin’ Tents & Breakin’ Norms is the one drawn like a panel from an old comic book, with a woman raising her own shelter and looking entirely sure about it. Keep it where your trip plans live, or send one to whoever organizes every weekend away.
The design: a comic-panel camper mid-pitch
A woman fills the square, shown from the hips up and turned three-quarters to the left, chin lifted, with a small confident smile and red lipstick. Her dark wavy hair falls to her shoulders in blue-black ink. She wears a red V-neck tee and dark red crosshatched pants held by a black belt with a square buckle. Her left hand rests on her hip, and her right arm stretches out, fist closed around the top of the tent.
The tent rises at the lower left as loose fabric: broad yellow panels with black folds, a red panel behind them and a dark triangular opening at the base. Behind her, a red-to-yellow sky fans out in sunburst rays past three pale yellow clouds, and dark tufts of grass fill the bottom corners. Across the top, slanted red comic capitals with a black outline and shadow spell out the design's name on two lines.
Halftone dots, thick ink lines and a cream paper-toned margin inside a thin black keyline give it a mid-century comic-book look. It is a nod to the women who carry their own gear and drive their own stakes, and to whoever first showed them how.
Opaque vinyl camping stickers, smooth to apply
- A kiss-cut border with rounded corners frames the comic panel
- High-opacity film, so an older decal, a scuff or a painted patch beneath it does not read through
- Goes on cleanly, with no air bubbles to work out
- Vinyl with the durability for everyday use
- Before applying, clean the surface it is going on
Who it's for
Solo campers, the organizer of the annual girls' camp weekend, troop leaders, and the daughter who could set up a rain fly before she could drive. It also works as a feminist sticker for a laptop lid, a trip journal or a planner. Mark a first solo trip with one, add it to a campsite-reservation surprise, or send it as thanks to whoever lent you their tent.
Quick answers
Does every size option show the panel at full sheet size?
On 3″×3″, 4″×4″ and 5.5″×5.5″ the panel is the sticker itself, about 3″ (7.5 cm), 4″ (10 cm) and 5½″ (14 cm) across. The 15″×3.75″ sheet prints it once, about 3¾″ (9.5 cm) square, in the middle.
Is the tent already standing in the picture?
She is partway through the job. The fabric hangs loose from her grip with the door flap open below, so the scene catches the work itself, a moment before camp is made.
Does the printed line match the listing name exactly?
Nearly. On the sticker the line closes with an exclamation mark, which the name here leaves off. Both apostrophes and the ampersand appear just as written.
What season is the design for?
Any weekend you would pitch a tent. The evergreen sprigs, dried orange slices, cinnamon sticks and ribbon-tied gift seen in the photos are styling laid around the sticker for the pictures.
