Lake Atitlán, Guatemala. A small boat crossing beneath a volcano.
This Guatemala poster is an original illustration of Lake Atitlán — a hillside terrace view over bougainvillea, with a small white boat crossing sapphire water below a volcano — for anyone who has taken that boat ride or still wants to. It's printed to order and arrives framed in black wood, ready to hang, the kind of piece you give to someone who came home from Guatemala and hasn't stopped talking about that lake.
The design: Terrace Bougainvillea and Volcano
The design is drawn flat from a hillside terrace, looking down across a deep sapphire lake. A single white boat trails a wake mid-water, and a volcano rises purple-blue on the far shore beside layered ridges and clouds. Bougainvillea fills the foreground in magenta and pink, a whitewashed terrace wall cuts across the foot of the scene, and a woven-pattern band runs along the bottom edge. The lettering sits in the sky — LAKE, ATITLÁN and GUATEMALA — worked in sapphire blue, sky blue, cream, magenta and orange.

Who it's for
For Guatemala travelers, Central America backpackers, and Guatemalan or Latin American heritage households, plus lake house owners looking further afield than the lakes close to home, and volcano and hiking fans who crossed that water by boat. It hangs well in an entry hall, home office or guest room, and makes an easy housewarming or lake house gift, a honeymoon or anniversary memento, a birthday for a traveler, a Christmas gift, or a keepsake for Guatemalan heritage.
Quick answers
Is this a reprint of a vintage original?
No. It's an original illustration drawn in the mid-century travel-poster tradition — flat color, clean edges, bold lettering — and a new composition made for RaZits, not a scan of a historic print.
How many volcanoes are in the picture?
One. A single purple-blue cone stands on the far shore, with lower blue ridges beside it.
What is the band along the bottom?
A drawn strip of small geometric motifs in a woven style, in orange, red, blue and teal. It sits below the terrace wall at the foot of the scene.
