Three books deep, headphones on, and fully in Cozy Grind Mode.

This cat mug is for the reader, the student, the gamer in for a long grind and the cat person who do their best work curled up somewhere soft, with a warm drink within reach. Keep it for your own study breaks or wrap it up for the cat lover whose to-read pile never gets any shorter.

The design: a tabby that has claimed the book stack

The star is a cute orange tabby cat wearing headphones while lounging on a stack of books. It's round and content, with darker stripes, a white muzzle, chest and paws and a small smile, front paws tucked over the top cover and its striped tail looped down around the pile. Big over-ear headphones hug its head: the look of a cat that has found the best seat in the house and has no plans to move.

Above it, Cozy Grind Mode arcs across in dark, hand-lettered brush script, with Z Z Z drifting off to one side and small four-point sparkles scattered around. The three hardcovers underneath carry gold spine bands and cream page edges, and the whole scene is drawn in a cute cartoon style with bold outlines and warm, flat color.

The words read two ways. In gamer talk, grind mode means settling in for a long, steady session: leveling up a character, farming the same area for materials, one more quest before bed, headphones on and nowhere else to be. For a student it's the study grind instead: another chapter, one more page of notes, the slow and steady progress of a quiet afternoon. The cat has clearly decided both count as working.

White ceramic, color inside and the cat on both sides

• Glossy white ceramic body that gives the cartoon art a clean, bright backdrop
• Colored rim, inside, and handle, in the shade you pick from the options
• The design is printed twice, once on each side, so left- and right-handed sippers both see the cat
• Original RaZits artwork, printed by sublimation
• Created just for you after you place your order

Who it's for

Book lovers, students in exam season, gamers who happily grind for hours, remote workers and anyone who shares a home with a cat that sits on whatever they're reading. It belongs on a desk beside the textbooks, next to the gaming setup in a game room, on the side table next to a reading chair or on the kitchen shelf as the everyday tea mug. Give it for a cat lover's or gamer's birthday, a graduation, a new-semester care package, a book club swap or the holidays.

Quick answers

Should I pick 11 oz or 15 oz?

Pick 11 oz for everyday coffee or tea and 15 oz for a bigger refill during long reading or gaming sessions. The 11 oz stands 3.79″ (9.6 cm) tall and the 15 oz 4.69″ (11.9 cm). Not every inside color comes in 15 oz, so check the options.

Is the cat asleep?

Not quite. Its eyes are wide open and it's smiling; the Z Z Z above just sets the drowsy, do-not-disturb mood of a long, quiet session.

Do the headphones have a mic?

No. They're plain over-ear headphones, the kind you'd wear for music, a podcast or an audiobook while the pages turn.

Is this the only Cozy Grind Mode mug?

No. RaZits has another Cozy Grind Mode mug with a different cat and lettering. This one is the orange tabby on three hardcovers, and the photos show exactly what's printed.
