Patient, stubborn and proud of it: the bull, painted in ochre and forest green.

This Taurus phone case puts the sign's name and a watercolor bull on a clear cover, for anyone born under the second sign of the zodiac. Carry it as a quiet daily nod to your own chart, or wrap it up as a Taurus gift that gets used every single day.

The design: a watercolor bull under brush-script lettering

A bull's head looks straight at you, drawn as a flat silhouette: two long horns sweeping out and up, small ears tucked beneath them, and a broad brow that narrows to a pointed, shield-like muzzle. The shape is filled with a watercolor wash that begins as golden ochre at the horns and brow and deepens to mossy forest green at the muzzle, cloudy and mottled the way wet paint settles on paper. Fine gold lines pick out the nose and nostrils in the green.

A fringe of tiny pale sprigs, dots and leaves runs along the top of the head and the base of the horns, like a faint crown of meadow plants, and loose green brush strokes curl around the lower left and right. Over it all the word Taurus is written in black hand-brushed script on a slight upward slant, its capital T finished with a long sweeping cross-stroke that crosses the tips of the horns.

There is no background panel behind the art. It is printed in the middle of the back, under the camera, and everything around it stays see-through, so your phone's own color becomes the backdrop. That suits an earth sign: plants and paint in place of stars and moons.

What this Taurus phone case is made of

• The back is solid polycarbonate and carries the print
• The sides are see-through polyurethane that flexes, so the case slips on and comes off without a struggle
• A 0.5 mm lip rises around the screen
• Cutouts sit right over the ports, so a cable plugs in with the case still on
• Wireless charging compatible, with no need to take the cover off first
• Helps keep scratches, dust, oil and dirt off the phone underneath

Who it's for

Taureans who read their horoscope with breakfast, astrology fans who know everyone's sign by heart, and anyone who would pick earthy watercolor over glitter. It goes from the kitchen counter to the garden bench to the bottom of a tote bag. Wrap it for a Taurus birthday, for Mother's Day when mom is the bull of the family, with a new phone, or as a thank-you for the most dependable friend you have.

Quick answers

How do I choose the right case?

Pick your exact iPhone model in the Size menu. Every case is cut for one model, so a Pro and a Pro Max from the same year need different cases, and the SE case fits the 2020 SE.

Will the lettering show on a dark phone?

The cover is clear, so the black script sits directly over your phone's own color. It shows most clearly on light phones and reads more quietly on dark ones, while the painted bull stands out on both.

Are there stars or a zodiac symbol in the art?

No. The print is the bull's head, the plant sprigs, the brush strokes and the written name. There are no stars, constellation lines, glyph or dates.

Do I need to remove anything before first use?

Look inside the case when it arrives. If a thin protective film is stuck to the inner surface, peel it away, then fit the case to your phone.

When is Taurus season?

Astrology places Taurus from about April 20 to May 20. It is an earth sign, and its symbol is the bull.
