The surf is up, and it is breaking inside a glass.
Stretch out on a palm tree beach towel with a retro streak. The New Wave Sipping design pours a striped sun, a curling wave and a grid floor into a single tall glass.
A coastline poured to the brim
The glass is tall and straight-sided, widening a little toward its oval rim, with a solid base and dark teal outlines. Its drink shades from pale orange near the rim to coral red at the bottom, and a few small bubbles rise near the surface.
Look closer and the drink is a landscape. A dark teal palm tree fills the upper left, a cream sun sits in the middle with stripes cut across its lower half, and a wave breaks below it in white foam. Under the wave, dark grid lines run off to a horizon over orange-red.
Outside the glass, a dark teal mountain peak rises on each side, and mint-green ray lines fan out from behind it before fading into speckles. Orange clouds drift at both sides, with a few tiny birds at the upper right. Two lines of script lettering cross the glass, the upper in dark red and the lower in dark teal with a pale outline.
On the towel itself, this scene is one centered picture, with white toweling on every side of it. Turn the towel so a long edge is on top and the glass stands upright; hang it by a short edge and the glass tips onto its side.
Built for a swim and a long sit after

Who it's for
Surf watchers, pool-float captains, retro design fans and anyone who carries a drink down to the water’s edge. Pack it for a lake house weekend, a pool deck or a day at the shore. It works as a present for a graduation trip, a housewarming with a pool or a July birthday.
Quick answers
What style is the artwork?
It borrows the retro pairing of a striped sun over a grid horizon and renders it like a vintage screen print, with engraved line shading and muted, sun-faded tones.
What kind of glass is it?
A plain drinking glass of the tall kind, drawn clear so you can see through it. What it holds is the scenery: the drink doubles as the sky and the sea of the picture.
Who would like it as a gift?
Someone who loves the coast and has a soft spot for retro graphics: such as a surfer, a swimmer or a friend with a backyard pool.
