Description

You watch the birds. The birds watch back.

This bird watching mug is for the person who has caught a small bird peering through the glass and wondered who is really watching whom. Step away from the chair for a minute and the yard comes to you.

The design: The View Goes Both Ways

A thin black line marks a window. On its sill sits a small gray bird with a pale belly, looking in.

Facing it is an empty brown wooden chair. The watcher has stepped away, and now the bird is the one taking in the view.

Beside the scene, THE VIEW GOES BOTH WAYS runs over three lines of bold black capitals, with WAYS the largest. The rim, handle and inside are the color you choose.

Window-seat mug, your color

White ceramic with a colored rim, handle and inside, so you can match the mug to the kitchen or their favorite color
Printed on both sides, so the design faces out whichever hand you hold it in
Dishwasher and microwave safe
11 oz in ten inside colors, or the taller 15 oz in black, blue, dark green or red
The 11 oz stands 3.79″ tall and 3.25″ across; the 15 oz stands 4.69″ tall and 3.35″ across

Who it's for

Backyard bird watchers, window-seat coffee drinkers, feeder fillers and anyone who has made eye contact with a chickadee through the glass. Pick an inside color to match the kitchen or their favorite. A thoughtful pick among gifts for bird lovers: birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day, a retirement or the holidays.

Quick answers

Is this a good gift for a bird watcher?

It is made for one: give it to the person who talks to the birds through the window. Birthday, Mother's Day, Father's Day, retirement or the holidays.

Which size should I choose?

The 11 oz is a standard coffee cup and comes in ten inside colors. The 15 oz is taller and comes in black, blue, dark green or red. Same design on every mug.

Where on the mug is the print?

On both sides of the handle, so the scene faces out whether you drink right- or left-handed.

Is the bird inside or outside?

On the window sill, looking in. The chair is indoors and empty, which is the joke: the watcher stepped away and the bird took over.

Which inside color should I pick?

Any of them works with the black, gray and brown print. Dark green and blue echo the outdoors; red, orange or yellow make it pop on a mug rack.
