A red paper umbrella leans on the rim of a tall glass, and the day by the water can begin.
Somebody already ordered for you on this cocktail beach towel: one tall drink, garnished and waiting on the sand under a ringed sun. The design is called Paper Umbrella Beach Drink, and it goes wherever there is water to sit beside and a friend to save a spot for.
Inside the brush-edged circle
Start with the glass. It is tall, with a curved, waisted bowl on a short stem and a round foot, and it stands on the sand with a soft shadow beside it. The drink runs orange at the top and red at the bottom, with a few small bubbles, a thin straw and the umbrella perched at the right.
Behind it lies a round patch of shoreline whose edges were left rough, as if brushed on. A tan strip of sand comes first, then a teal sea with pale wave lines, then a red-orange sky with thin cream cloud streaks. On the horizon sits the sun, drawn as rings that step from pale yellow to orange.
A three-word line of lettering crosses the sky in cream retro script with a dark drop shadow, slanting upward over two rows. The whole thing is drawn like a vintage luggage label: flat inks and heavy outlines. It is printed once, at the center, across about a third of the towel’s length, and everything around it stays white.
Two sides, told apart by touch
- Face up, you see the picture: the print is on this one side only
- Turn it over and you feel terry, the more water-absorbent side, so the back does the drying
- Spread out, it covers 30″ × 60″ (76 × 152 cm)
- Pinched between two fingers, it is 0.28″ (0.7 cm) thick
- In the hand it is a soft blend of 52% cotton and 48% polyester, 10.6 oz/yd² (360 g/m²)
Who it's for
Poolside regulars, cruise packers, patio-party hosts and the friend who asks for the little umbrella every time. Give it for a summer birthday, in a Mother’s Day basket, as a countdown present before a trip, or as thanks to the neighbor with the pool.
Quick answers
Which side goes up when I lay it out?
The printed side, so the glass shows. The scene is laid out sideways: it reads upright with the towel’s long edge running left to right, and turns a quarter turn when the towel hangs from a short end.
Does it suit someone who doesn’t drink?
Yes. Nothing on the towel names a recipe or a spirit. The glass holds a layered drink with a straw and an umbrella, which could just as well be fruit punch.
What is the small star next to the lettering?
A starburst, set at the upper right of the script like a glint of light. It belongs to the artwork and is the smallest detail in the scene.
