Five fruit flowers on thin green stems, ripe for the kitchen counter and the commute.
Flavors in Bloom is a fruit travel mug for people who slice an orange before they find their keys. It leaves the house when you do, and the fruit comes along.
What grows on this mug
Each flower head is a piece of fruit. The tallest, at the top center, is a golden-orange slice seen in cross-section, with white lines between the segments and a white middle. A coral-red citrus slice sits to its left and another to its right, drawn the same way.
Lower down, between the red slices, come a whole dark-blue blueberry with its little crown mark and a smaller blue-and-white slice. Every fruit has a stem of its own. The stems lean together toward the base, where four green leaves with white veins fan out, two large ones outside and two small ones inside.
Under the leaves, heavy black letters in a rounded 1970s display style spell "Flavors in Bloom" on two lines that climb a little to the right, the middle word set small. Nothing is shaded: even outlines and solid golden orange, coral red, denim blue and leaf green give it a retro folk-poster look.
From the drying rack to the cup holder
- Stainless steel construction
- Carry it by its handle, the way you would a mug at home
- Most car cup holders have room for it
- Lid in the box: one made for the size you order
- Printed once on each side of the wide upper part of the mug
Who it's for
People who keep a fruit bowl on the counter, tend a few berry bushes or a citrus tree in a pot, or simply like their kitchen things cheerful. It rides along on the school run, to the train platform and to the Saturday farmers market. As a present it suits a housewarming, a summer birthday, the host of a garden party or someone starting a job with a long drive.
Quick answers
How do I wash it?
Hand-wash only. It belongs at the sink with the good knives.
Straw or no straw?
A straw comes with just one size, whose lid screws on. The other lid is a press-in one without a straw.
Is the mug covered in fruit all the way around?
No. The picture appears twice, and the stretch between the two is left plain, as is the narrower lower part.
My coffee is steaming. Lid on right away?
Open the lid first and then put it on. Sealing a hot drink under a closed lid lets the steam build up with nowhere to go.
