In photography, exposure is a setting. At the mahjong table, it means your tiles are showing.

This unique mahjong gift is built on that pun. The Exposure Settings artwork pops open a round tin of tiles in bold blue, gold and red pop-art color.

The artwork: a tin of tiles, wide open

EXPOSURE leans across the top in bold, slanted cream capitals, and SETTINGS sits below. Between them, a round blue and gold tin with its lid lifted shows six tiles inside on a red base: three bamboo tiles and three dot tiles, with halftone shading and short burst lines in gold, red and blue. The tin and lettering print at roughly 1.8 inches wide and 2.8 inches tall on the 11 oz, or 2 by 3 inches on the 15 oz.

Developed in glossy black

• Glossy black ceramic: the pop-art tin stands out like a print in a darkroom.
• 11 oz: 3.85 in (9.8 cm) tall and 3.35 in (8.5 cm) across, a quick shot of coffee.
• 15 oz: 4.7 in (12 cm) tall and 3.35 in (8.5 cm) across, a longer exposure.
• Dishwasher and microwave safe, no special settings needed.
• Lead and BPA-free material, nothing hidden in the frame.

Who it's for

The player who loves a clever pun, the photographer in your mahjong group and anyone who exposes their tiles with a flourish. Bring it to a birthday, a club party or a holiday swap and let the pun start the conversation.

Quick answers

What is the joke?

Exposure is a camera setting, and at the table an exposed group is a set of tiles laid face up. The open tin plays on both.

How many times is the tin printed?

Once. It is a single print on the front, opposite the handle; the handle side and back stay plain glossy black, like an unexposed frame.

Who is it best for?

Players who enjoy wordplay, and especially anyone who also loves photography.

Care

Dishwasher safe and microwave safe.
