Save first. Sip second.
This sip mug is for anyone who will not leave the chair until the progress is saved, and then goes straight for a refill. It turns that small routine into two words of retro lettering, and it makes a simple present for a player you know.
How the lettering is drawn
The design is lettering inside a frame, with no pictures. It reads "Save & Sip" on three stacked lines: the first word on top, a small pixel-style ampersand in the middle and the last word underneath. Both words are set in large white capitals with stepped, blocky edges, in the manner of a retro video-game title screen.
Teal belongs to the top half. The upper word has a teal drop edge and sits under a teal bar. Pink takes the lower half, with a pink outline around the bottom word and a pink band beneath it. Short teal bars flank the ampersand, each ending in a tiny white four-point sparkle.
A thin white outline holds it all together. The shape is wide at the top, pinched in the middle and wide again at the bottom, teal above and pink below. Behind it sit a perspective grid in purple-pink, fine horizontal scan lines and a few thin light rays at the corners.

Quick answers
What does the name mean?
It is a pun on a gamer's habit: save the game, then take a sip of your drink. The design name is also the whole text of the print, in that order.
Which way does the lettering face?
Our photos show the mug with its handle on the right and the lettering toward the camera. It sits centered on that side with plain space above, below and beside it.
Will someone who doesn't play retro games get it?
Yes. Anyone who has saved a file before stepping away from a screen understands the joke. The pixel look is only the style it is told in.
